It used to be alien
I never thought it will happen to someone I know, let alone my own mum....I'm starting to dislike going to NUH but at least the nurses and docs there always carry a smile on their faces though that doesn't make it easier by half....but then again, I'm RELIEVED coz' it's contained...I just hope that everything will go smoothly and she'll recover soon...but it is going to be a tough 2-6 mths ahead at the very least...I will be strong and have faith. Oh, and I need to start being thrifty.

Words
Saw a police signboard at blk 10 today, appealing for witness to a 'Snatch Theft' which occurred yesterday....
Why must they use the words 'snatch theft'? Isn't that simply equivalent to the word 'robbery'? Is 'snatch theft' more commonly used or more easily understood? Besides, how can a 'theft' be committed in 'snatch' mode? A 'theft' is supposed to be done unknowingly, without the victim finding out until much later.....
